Multi-Level Credentialing Program That Will Help You Grow as a Professional
ICOR provides a multi-level credentialing program that is integrated with career-pathing alternatives. The ICOR credentialing program also complements and supports its educational program and addresses every level: from entry level to existing practitioners to senior business and government leadership.

The innovative concept behind the ICOR’s credentialing strategy is that members can move both horizontally and vertically through each of the 10 resiliency disciplines, dependent upon these factors
• Work experience
• Education
• Credentials received from other organizations
• Professional contribution and thought leadership

Recognition of Existing Organizations and their Credentials
ICOR recognizes existing organizations, their standards, and their credentialing.  ICOR acknowledges these competencies and their global perspective on achieving organizational resiliency.

Credit may be granted for ICOR to those applicants who have earned existing credentials from other credentialing bodies, including, but not limited to:
• Degree programs
• Certification programs
• Ongoing adult education/workshops

For example, an individual with the following certifications would automatically be qualified as an ICOR Certified Organizational Resilience Professional. The credentials are in 4 different disciplines and certified by credible certifying bodies.

CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional
ARM: Associate in Risk Management
CBCP: Certified Business Continuity Professional
CISA: Certified Information Systems Auditor

ICOR Credentialing Structure
ICOR credentials enable the member to build his knowledge, starting with general awareness training and progressing through more detailed educational programs in one or more disciplines supporting organizational resilience.

Credentialing can be earned through educational offerings that are either provided by ICOR or endorsed and recognized by ICOR, but provided by other organizations.

Members will be able to earn ICOR credentials in one or more discipline of organizational resilience.

CEU’s: Continuing Education Units
The primary purpose of CEU’s is to provide a permanent record of the professional development / educational accomplishments of individuals who have completed significant educational and career enhancement activities.  CEU’s are especially important to those who wish to maintain a credential, where evidence of continuing education is required for recertification.

One CEU is awarded for each ten (10) hours of instruction or contact time, excluding breaks and non-learning time.
For example:
1-day course =   .7 CEU’s
2-day course = 1.4 CEU’s
3-day course = 2.1 CEU’s

Career-Path Counseling
As part of the credentialing process you will be asked to complete a credentialing application to provide data on work experience, education, credentials, and career goals.  Members of ICOR will be offered career counseling to develop a plan for continuing education to meet member career goals.
Members will then be evaluated to determine current credential status and also to begin to develop future career-pathing alternatives that will assist in meeting personal career goals.

ICOR credentials enable the member to build his knowledge, starting with general awareness training and progressing through more detailed educational programs in one or more disciplines supporting organizational resilience.
