Developing a BCM Response:
 The Crisis Management Plan
At Continuity Insights, presented by James Nelson, President of Business Continuity Services, Inc

Your people are safe, the facility is secure, and your organization is in full operation, but your organization can still be in crisis.  Emergency events are not always caused by weather or a fire.  All kinds of actions can cause an organization to move into a crisis. Each event is unique, requiring special planning and response.

This workshop will begin by providing you with an understanding of the different types of plans each organization should have in place in order to be resilient.  Day One also includes practical and comprehensive instruction on how to develop a Crisis Management Plan to enable the organization to manage any crisis event.

Day Two will focus on the elements of the Crisis Communication Plan.  In most disaster scenarios, the outcome depends heavily on what is said and done in the first few hours. Learn how to establish a public relations structure that can quickly and effectively report on an incident and manage the impacts and perceptions of the organization’s key stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.

Developing a BCM Response is part of the Essentials of Business Continuity Management series offered by ICOR and is worth 1.4 CEU’s of education credit.
