ICOR's Levels of Certification and Credentialing
There are the current levels of ICOR certification. 
 

1. Certified Organizational Resilience Executive (CORE)
2. Certified Organizational Resilience Professional (CORP)
3. Certified Organizational Resilience Manager (CORM)
4. Certified Organizational Resilience Specialist (CORS)
5. Certified Organizational Resilience Associate (CORA)

6. Certified Crisis Management & Communications Professional (CMCP)
7. Data Center Certifications (DCC)


ICOR Certification/Credentialing
Certified Organizational Resilience Executive (CORE)
The OR Executive Certification is reserved for those applicants who serve at the executive level of their organization overseeing six or more disciplines as defined in ICOR’s University. The applicant receiving this credential would be responsible for the resiliency of the organization. 

Members achieving this level of certification will usually have responsibility, decision-making, and budgeting authority for the resilience program in the company, organization, agency, or ministry in which they are employed. It would be usual for this candidate to be the executive sponsor for the programs within their organization.

Those applying for the Executive Certification who work in the public sector might be responsible for continuity of government and operations or for emergency management and response at a country or state level.

In addition, applicants may be the owner or president of an organization that supports resiliency and provides resiliency services to other organizations as a vendor, consultant, or not-for-profit. Applicants will also be considered who serve as the executive publisher of a magazine and/or have a lead role in the delivering of conferences that support the resiliency disciplines.

Applicants should meet several of the following qualifying elements:
• Applicants should hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a college or university.
   A master’s degree is recommended.
• At least 10 years experience with responsibilities including at least 6 disciplines of
   ICOR University
• Have earned a minimum of 10 CEU’s (100 hours) of professional development credit
   in at least 6 of the disciplines of ICOR University (cumulative – not in each discipline)
• Certified in at least 6 of the disciplines of ICOR University
• Make significant contributions as a thought leader or contributor to ICOR or the
   profession that provides benefits to ICOR membership and associations external to
   ICOR.  This may be in the realm of developing or delivering educational offerings,
   exemplary contributions in the credentialing area, and significant recognized
   contributions in research and development for ICOR.
• Author articles in major magazines or periodicals that support resiliency.
• Recognized public speaker at forums that support resiliency.

Applicants can earn ICOR credentials or CEU’s by: 
• Holding existing credentialing with organizations recognized by ICOR within each
   ICOR University discipline
• Taking professional development courses / workshops and attending conferences
   recognized in ICOR’s University

*Credentialing can be earned through educational offerings that are either provided by ICOR or endorsed and recognized by ICOR, but provided by other organizations.

Certified Organizational Resilience Professional (CORP)
The OR Professional Certification is reserved for applicants who serve in a senior management position within their organization overseeing three or more disciplines as defined in ICOR’s University The applicant receiving this credential would be responsible for the resiliency of the division or region for which he is responsible.

Those applying for the Professional Certification who work in the public sector might be responsible for continuity of government and operations or for emergency management and response in a geographic region or a local government level.  Examples of this OR Professional would be mayor or president of a village or town or an emergency manager for a county or region.

In addition, applicants may be in a senior management position in an organization that supports resiliency and provides resiliency services to other organizations as a vendor or consultant.  Applicants will also be considered who serve as an editor for a magazine or for applicants who serve in a leadership role in delivering conferences that support resiliency.

Applicants should meet several of the following qualifying elements:
• Applicants should hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a college or university. 
• At least 7 years experience with responsibilities including at least 3 disciplines of
   ICOR University
• Have earned a minimum of 7 CEU’s (70 hours) of professional development  credit
   in at least 4 of the disciplines of ICOR University (cumulative – not in each discipline)
• Certified in at least 4 of the disciplines of ICOR University
• Make significant contributions as a thought leader or contributor to ICOR or the
   profession that provides benefits to ICOR membership and associations external to
   ICOR.  This may be in the realm of developing or delivering educational offerings,
   exemplary contributions in the credentialing area, and significant recognized
   contributions in research and development for ICOR.
• Author articles in major magazines or periodicals that support resiliency.
• Speaker at a conference that supports resiliency.

Applicants can earn ICOR credentials or CEU’s by: 
• Holding existing credentialing with organizations recognized by ICOR within each
   ICOR University discipline
• Taking professional development courses / workshops and attending conferences
  recognized in ICOR’s University

Certified Organizational Resilience Manager (CORM)
The OR Manager Certification is reserved for applicants who serve as a leader of a business unit or a manager of a department within their organization overseeing two or more disciplines as defined in ICOR’s University. The applicant receiving this credential would be responsible for the resiliency of the business unit or department for which he is responsible. 

These candidates would usually have daily management and operational control for a discipline that supports resiliency.  For example, they may be the risk manager, the security manager, the BC manager, or the data security manager. An OR Manager would report to someone in senior management.

Those applying for the OR Manager Certification who work in the public sector might work within the government structure at a local level and have direct responsibility for continuity of government and operations, reporting to senior management.  At the emergency management level, this applicant might be responsible for emergency management for a local village or town.

In addition, applicants may be in a management position in an organization that supports resiliency and provides resiliency services to other organizations as a vendor or consultant.  Applicants will also be considered who serve on an editorial advisory board or writes a regular column for a magazine or for applicants who support those who serve in a leadership role in delivering conferences that support resiliency.

Applicants should meet several of the following qualifying elements:
• Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree from a college or university or the equivalent. 
• At least 5 years experience in two or more disciplines of ICOR University
• Have earned a minimum of 5 CEU’s (50 hours) of professional development credit
   within 2 or more the disciplines of ICOR University. (cumulative – not in each discipline)
• Certified in at least 2 of the disciplines of ICOR University
• Author articles in an internal magazine or periodical that supports resiliency.
• Facilitate educational workshops internal to your organization or at conferences
   that support resiliency.

Applicants can earn ICOR credentials or CEU’s by: 
• Holding existing credentialing with organizations recognized by ICOR within each
   ICOR University discipline
• Taking professional development courses / workshops and attending conferences
   recognized in ICOR’s University

Certified Organizational Resilience Specialist (CORS)
The OR Specialist Certification is reserved for applicants who have demonstrated knowledge and work experience in one specific discipline of organizational resilience. 

These candidates would usually support those with management and operational control as defined in ICOR’s University. For example, they may be an employee in the risk management department, in data security, the physical security division, or in the training department. 

Those applying for the Specialist Certification who work in the public sector might work within the government structure at a local level and have responsibilities that include continuity of government and operations.  At the emergency management level, this applicant might be responsible for a specific element of emergency management for a local village or town, such as the fire department or public works.

In addition, applicants may be employed by an organization that supports resiliency and provides resiliency services to other organizations as a vendor or consultant. 

Applicants should meet several of the following qualifying elements:
• Applicants should hold a high school diploma or the equivalent. 
• At least 3 years experience in at least one discipline of ICOR University
• Have earned a minimum of 3 CEU’s (30 hours) of professional development credit within at least one of the disciplines of ICOR University.
• Certified in at least 1 of the disciplines of ICOR University

Applicants can earn ICOR credentials or CEU’s by: 
• Holding existing credentialing with organizations recognized by ICOR within each
   ICOR University discipline
• Taking professional development courses / workshops and attending conferences
   recognized in ICOR’s University

Certified Organizational Resilience Associate (CORA)
The OR Associate Certification is reserved for applicants who are new to the disciplines of organizational resilience and who would like to begin the formal qualification process. Associate applicants are those who do not yet have the appropriate experience for credentialing at the other levels. 

The Associate certification is open to all interested applicants who have completed two or more courses at the introductory levels in two or more of the disciplines of organizational resilience and who are currently employed in a discipline supporting organizational resilience or who are seeking employment in that area.

Applicants should meet several of the following qualifying elements:
• Applicants should hold a high school diploma or the equivalent. 
• Be currently employed in a discipline supporting organizational resilience or be seeking
   employment in that area.
• Have earned a minimum of 2 CEU’s (20 hours) of professional development
   credit within two or more the disciplines of organizational resilience.

Applicants can earn ICOR credentials or CEU’s by: 
• Holding existing credentialing with organizations recognized by ICOR within each
   ICOR University discipline
• Taking professional development courses / workshops and attending conferences
   recognized in ICOR’s University

Crisis Management & Communications Professional (CMCP)
ICOR is the first to offer certification for Crisis Management & Communication Professionals. This new professional certification is entitled:  The Certified Crisis Management & Communications Professional (CMCP).  

To earn this credential, applicants can choose from the following courses:
1. Organizational Crisis Preparedness: CMC 2000 (1.4 CEUs)
2. Human Impact Preparedness Audit: SR 1010 (1.4 CEUs)
3. Certified Crisis Communications Planner: CMC 2050 (1.4 CEUs)
4. Media Communications in a Crisis: CMC 3010 (.7 CEUs)
5. Crisis Team Leadership Development: CMC 4030 (2.1 CEUs)
6. Influencing with Integrity: CMC 4020 (3.5 CEUs)

Certification Process: 
1. A minimum of 3.5 CEUs in the Crisis Management & Communications (CMC) Discipline. 
   Must include at least one of the following courses: 

      • Certified Crisis Communications Planner
      • Media Communications in a Crisis
      • Crisis Team Leadership Development

2. A minimum of 2 years of experience
3. A passing score (75%) on the CMC Certification Exam

As part of this Crisis Management Certification, ICOR is offering several Certificate Programs. 
These Knowledge Based Certificates include the following:
      • Certified Media Spokesperson (or PIO) (Media Communications in a Crisis)
      • Certified Crisis Communications Planner (Certified Crisis Communications Planner)
      • Certified Crisis Team Leader (Crisis Team Leadership Development)
      • Certificate in Conflict Resolution (Influencing with Integrity)
      • Certificate in Basic Crisis Negotiations (Influencing with Integrity)

The audience for ICOR's courses in crisis management and communications range from the entry-level beginners responsible for plan writing or interested in being a member of a crisis team, to first responders, and senior leadership responsible for crisis communications and team leadership.

Data Center Certifications
ICOR’s Data Center Certifications offer data center professionals the opportunity to be recognized for the expertise they have acquired.  In addition, employers can depend on hiring certified professionals who have the qualifications they need to run their mission critical sites.  Vendors can get a step up on their competitors when holding a data center certification.

ICOR offers 4 data center certifications:
1. Certified Data Center Professional
2. Certified Data Center Specialist
3. Certified Data Center Expert
4. Certified Data Center Operations Manager
 
CDCP:  The Certified Data Center Professional
A 2-day course designed to expose participants to key components to set up and operate a new Mission Critical Data Center facility. The course also provides tips and guidance on how to improve current Data Center effectiveness and efficiency affecting the Data Center.
 
CDCP builds upon minimal Data Center experience and knowledge. Learn how to set up and improve key aspects, such as power, cooling, security, cabling, safety, and more to ensure a high-available Data Center and avoid costly downtime. Gain excellent practical experience and insights into what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to setting up, maintaining, and running mission critical sites such as the Data Center.
 
CDCS:  The Certified Data Center Specialist
This 3-day practitioner level course provides specialization on the CDCP course introduced topics. It provides insight and in-depth expertise enabling attendees to verify offers made by suppliers. This ensures that the right selections are made and that the Data Center equipment is installed correctly. CDCS is a must-have certification for professional Data Center managers and personnel. Participants must have a valid CDCP certificate before being able to apply for the CDCS course.
 
CDCE:  The Certified Data Center Expert
A 5-day expert level course prepares participants to scope, plan, design, implement and run a Mission Critical Data Center up to Tier Level- 4. The course leads participants through all the phases via lectures, design case studies and practical discussions. It includes critical aspects such as how to test and commission a newly built site and how to maintain the site over its life cycle in line with the business requirements.
 
At the end of the course, participants are required to present plans to improve design and operation flaws in a Tier-4 Data Center based on individual/group case work as assigned. CDCE builds upon knowledge gained in CDCP and CDCS courses. Participants who are able to pass the exam will be able to join the elite in the industry. Participants must have a valid CDCS certificate before being able to apply for the CDCE course.
 
 
CDOM: Certified Data Center Operations Manager
A 2-day course designed to expose participants to the key elements involved in day to day Data Center Operations. It highlights the overall framework needed to run a Data Center in a controlled manner as demanded in volatile and high availability business organizations.
 
Proven best practices are focused upon in order to reveal detailed inside information on how to get the most out of Data Center Operations, where results are instantly accomplished without making huge investments in soft- or hardware. By virtually touching the Data Center Operations processes end-to-end, all aspects relevant for successfully running and maintaining critical data centers are available.

New members will complete a credentialling application to provide data on work experience, education, credentials, and career goals. New members will be evaluated to determine credential status with the ICOR and will offered care.
